Block2Block interviews local hip hop artist DemOne on the re-release of a 95' underground album that is a tribute to group member Jesse Jones, who was shot and killed by Police.

What's Lackadaisical? A) A thirteen letter word meaning lacking spirit or liveliness; showing lack of interest; languid; listless.  B) A San Jose rap triumvirate consisting of myself (Dem-One), Traxamillion, and Jesse Jones C) A freakishly talent trio of teenagers who recoded an incredible 8 song demo titled 'Shamelsss Self Promotion' in 1995. The answer of course is D all of the above.This 13 year old gem had been collecting dust in the vaults of studio Venus until the sudden and tragic death of Jesse Jones prompted us to re-release the project as benefit for the  daughter he left behind.   Jesse Jones was a brilliant emcee, loving father, and devoted friend. He was shot in the back three times and killed by police in Banning, Ca on June 22 2006. We present this project as a tribute to his musical legacy and as a benefit for his daughter Iyanah Jones. His immense talent and easy smile will never be forgotten.
