Grand Slam Freedom

What a great day to me an American, Obama is in office and Denny's is gave away free Grand Slam breakfast to everyone in America. All over the country Denny's restaurants carried out their version of a stimulus plan, which included a tasty combination of eggs, sausage, bacon and fluffy buttermilk pancakes. What else does a soul need? Well a job would be nice in these "lay-off" times but a free meal sure does make you feel rich.

An estimated 2 million people all across the US rushed to get their hot breakfast. Being one of those two million was a great experience, who would have thought that a free $5.99 breakfast could bring so much joy in to my day. I could tell that I wasn't the only one in the restaurant with the same feelings. Even after waiting in line just to be seated, people waiting for their food all seemed like children on Christmas day.

In fact the only cost might have fell upon the workers of the Denny's who may have even risked not taking breaks in order to meet the demand for the tasty hot meals. I think that over all it was great to see all walks of life in one place enjoying a free meal. One that was really free, no strings attached no gimmicks just good food.
